From 24 to 27 March, the window, door, and façade industry returned to Nuremberg for Fensterbau Frontale 2026. Once again, the show lived up to its reputation as the sector’s most important international meeting place. Around 75,000 visitors from 117 countries explored the halls, where 1,022 exhibitors from 47 countries showcased new products, ideas, and technologies. As always, the real value of the fair lay in the conversations happening everywhere: at stands, in the aisles or over a coffee.
For Forterro Windows & Doors, this year's edition was particularly significant. It was the company’s first appearance at Frontale under the Forterro brand, and it also marked the German debut of Quotila, Forterro’s new CPQ platform.
Several themes kept coming up across the exhibition halls: digital workflows, sustainability, and ways to make planning and production more efficient. The newly introduced FRONTALE Stage reflected this focus, hosting discussions on climate-resilient construction, circularity, and the growing role of digital planning tools in the industry.
“Our first major appearance as Forterro at Frontale couldn’t have come at a better time,” says Paul Thyssen, Director Sales at Forterro Windows & Doors. “Many of the conversations we had at the stand showed just how strongly the market is looking for connected, future-ready digital solutions.”
Strong interest in Quotila
Much of the attention at the Forterro stand naturally centered on Quotila, the company’s cloud-based CPQ platform. Over four days, visitors were guided through the system in demonstrations showing how configuration, pricing, and production preparation can be integrated into a single workflow. Forterro shared the stand with its long-standing partners, T.A. Project and KKP Software. Led by the platform’s creator, the sessions offered a practical insight into how Quotila can streamline sales processes, making them faster, more transparent and more reliable. Conversations often continued long after the presentations, showing just how much interest the platform sparked among fabricators and suppliers.
Industry journalists shared similar impressions, describing Quotila as one of the most forward-looking digital solutions presented in the residential segment at this year’s show.
Efficiency, Sustainability and Production
While Quotila attracted significant attention, the latest version of Logikal also drew interest. One of the most talked-about additions was the new integrated CO₂ footprint calculator, reflecting this year’s central theme of sustainability and energy-efficient refurbishment.
For planners and fabricators, the ability to consider environmental impact earlier in the project lifecycle was a valuable development. At the same time, users looking to simplify their day-to-day planning welcomed the software’s expanded automation and documentation tools.
In the production area, updates to Logikal MES and Unilink sparked many discussions about improving workshop efficiency. Unilink’s faster calculations and enhanced collision detection, for example, attracted particular attention from fabricators seeking more reliable CNC processes, a topic frequently raised throughout the exhibition halls.
A Stand That Stayed Busy
Throughout the four days, the Forterro stand was lively. Customers, partners, and industry colleagues stopped by regularly, and many conversations ran longer than expected; always a promising sign at a trade fair. After a few difficult years for parts of the construction industry, the event offered an important opportunity to meet, share ideas, and explore potential partnerships.
The enthusiasm for Quotila, combined with the ongoing high interest in Logikal, Logikal MES, and Unilink, was seen as a clear indication that the company is heading in the right direction. The next step will be to introduce Quotila to new markets while continuing to expand Forterro’s digital ecosystem across Europe.
One of the biggest themes throughout Frontale this year was the increasing importance of connected systems and reliable data at all stages of a project. As digital workflows become ever more central to project management, companies need tools that bring sales, planning, and production together seamlessly. Forterro is focused on meeting this need, developing the digital solutions the industry requires to stay ahead.
